Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars
Pecan pie recipes are a nationwide tradition, but pie can be clumsy to transport and slice. Make pecan pie dessert squares for your next get together. These Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars will be a hit!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup dark or light corn syrup
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
- 1 package (12-oz.) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In medium-sized mixing bowl, beat flour, 1/2 cup butter and brown sugar until crumbly.
- Press into greased 13x9" baking pan and ake 12-15 minutes until lightly browned.
- Meanwhilem in a medium bowl, beat eggs, corn syrup, granulated sugar, melted butter and vanilla extract with a wire whisk until smooth.
- Stir in pecans and Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels.
- Pour evenly over baked crust.
- Bake 25-30 minutes until set. Cool and cut into 2x1 1/2" bars.
