Pear and Pecan Cake
This is a dessert sure to deliver a smile to your face. Pear and pecan cake is the best of both worlds with it's sweet flavors from the pear and vanilla, to the crunch the pecans pack. You'll be more than pleased with this fruit dish.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 5 firm pears, cored and chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Butter and flour a 9" x 13" baking pan. Sift together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg and salt.
- Beat together brown sugar, oil, eggs, sugar, water and vanilla until smooth.
- Blend in dry ingredients.
- Stir in pears and pecans. Pour batter into pan.
- Bake for about 55 minutes, cool before serving.
