I've never made these before, but they sound really good. Not sure about working with paraffin.

I have made these in the past and they were delicious. I used smooth peanut butter. What is the paraffin for, can something else be substituted for the paraffin? I will definitely make this for my family. They love peanut butter and chocolate. I will have to make these for a special treat.

I love peanut butter buckeyes. The only recipe I have seen for them calls for graham crackers mixed with peanut butter. I didn't like that idea. Would a small amount of shortening work instead of paraffin wax. I don't even know where to find that. My mom used to use it, but I didn't know it was sold anymore.
