Apple cheese Casserole
The unusual but delightful combination of apple and cheese makes this dish memorable. Sweet and savory, this is one of our favorite recipes for Velveeta cheese.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 8 ounces Velveeta cheese, or 8 ounces grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cans (16-ounce) sliced apples, unsweetened (do not use apple pie filling)
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar in a mixing bowl, add cheese and combine well.
- Add flour and mix well. Batter will be stiff.
- Place apples in a buttered 1.5 quart baking dish.
- Spread the cheese/flour mixture over the apples, covering the apples well.
- Bake at 325 degrees F for about 30-45 minutes. Serves 4-6
