Ths receipe would make up very using canned Vienna sausages in place of standard Hot dogs.

OK, I'm a little confused. Step 1 says to combine all casserole ingredients. Then Steps 3 & 4 talk about doing some things with some of the ingredients. So, are "all casserole ingredients" actually just the hot dogs, soup, corn and onions? This recipe is a bit confusing.

Sounds good but it didn't say if you leave the hot dogs whole or cut in bite size.

Very easy and very good! I didn't have cheese soup so I used a 9 oz. can of chedder cheese chip dip and it worked out fine. Delicious.

@wadeckiburn 9560778 - We love that you give us feedback! If you are using real mashed potatoes instead of the potato flakes, you would not need to add the margarine or the water in step 3. Hope this helps! -The editors of FaveHealthyRecipes

Thank you for the quick response, one more question, you said to omit the milk, but what about the 1Cup of water and the margarine?, it seems like the water, margarine and the milk was for the potato flakes, but if I use real mashed potatoes it seems like with the water it would make it soupy. Again, thank you, I love these recipes as I like to try different ones, so I need to leave feedback for all the ones Ive tried.

@wadeckiburn 9560778: You could probably substitute mashed potatoes for the instant potato flakes, but we suggest you omit the milk if you do so. Let us know how it turns out! -- Editors of RecipeLion

Can you use real mashed potatoes instead of the instant flake ones, and if so how does that affect the cooking time?
