It would be nice if these recipes included alternate seasoning choices since the noodle seasoning packets are too high in sodium for a lot of people.

What kind of ramen noodles can be used? Chicken flavor? Beef flavor?

The noodles themselves aren't flavored. Considering the recipe calls for 1 beef flavor packet, I would assume you would want to buy the ramen packs containing beef flavor.

I would definitely add some kind of veggie to this, perhaps broccoli!! I never realized how ramen noodles could make a good meal, until I have read a lot of recipes lately using them!! I'm from the old school style of cooking, but getting really lazy.......I will be doing this!!

Hi eightplus4 5867190 - You could try topping this casserole with cream of mushroom soup (or any other cream-based soup) in place of cheese. Let us know how it turns out! -Editors of RecipeLion

This would be good but more nutritious if it had some vegetables incorporated into the casserole. Onions, carrots, celery are a good start, but I'm also thinking bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and diced peppers would be great, too. I love Ramen noodles. They are a great base for many delicious dishes.

I think spreading on a thin layer of an undiluted cream of mushroom (celery, broccoli etc. ) would work. Maybe even topped with some French's Fried onions for extra flavor and crunch. I have NOT made this recipe yet. This is just my own opinion. Hope it works. Not sure how much real cheese is in cheddar cheese soup. Check ingredients. Maybe just some kind of flavoring.
