KFC Fried Chicken
This copy cat recipe is the closest you can get to the Colonel's masterpiece. The kids will not be able to tell the difference from your KFC Fried Chicken recipe and the Colonel's. Crunch away on this chicken recipe and enjoy.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup 3-minute brand quick oats
- 1/4 cup grated cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped blanched almonds
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 to 3 pound frying chicken, cut up
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Combine oats, cheese, almonds, parsley, salt, thyme and pepper. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, melt butter with garlic powder.
- Dip chicken pieces in garlic-butter and then in oats mixture.
- Place chicken pieces in baking dish and bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees F for 55-65 minutes, or until tender. Do not turn chicken pieces during baking.

I have the KFC's original recipe and it's not the one that they use today. The original recipe was given out by none other than the Colonial himself after he discovered the company that bought his recipe changed it, and no I won't give it out.

why even bring it up then? i used to work at KFC myself, it was in the 90's, i'm sure the recipe had changed hands by then.

Followed the recipe exactly...unfortunately did not taste anything like KFC. Was very disappointed.
