My wife loves cherries and chocolate, so this is the perfect recipe for her. Dump cakes are insanely easy to make, and I always feel like I'm cheating when I make one. I agree that topping it with a dollop of whipped cream is the way to serve it, although some good vanilla ice cream would work quite well, too.

Dump cake recipes are also great for amateur bakers or those who feel like they dont have enough time. Making these cakes really is a breeze but I dont like store bought cake mixes. I like to know whats in the cake am making but I really love black forest cake and I settle for this.

Black forest cake is my Dad's absolute favourite, so I was really happy when I found a dump cake version. This recipe is good but it's not quite black forest cake. I found that you really needed to add a generous dollop of whipped cream a maraschino cherry or two on top in order to get that satisfying black forest taste that I was going for. This was super easy to make though.

Sounds so good! To print the recipe just push the print button at the top of your page on the left. No extra text...there is just the recipe. There is no extra text.

Oh this sounds so good. My favourite cake as a kid was a Black forest cake from the local bakery, with whip cream frosting and slivered chocolate and a cherry on top, yummm. Thanks for this recipe. jcg1224

charsm I have found the easiest way to print a recipe from this site is to highlight and copy it then print it in notebook. Of course before pring delete all the unnecessary stuff. works real good.

Can you fix the printing so the recpe prints without all the extra text. When I printed this recipe from the print button it took 2 pages to print and the recipe was divided between the pages. Other sites print recipes with only the name of the site and the recipe.

I just push the print button at the top left. I get just the recipe with no extra text. Good luck!
