Cheddar Cheese Cookies
That's right- they're called Cheddar Cheese Cookies. Here's a cookie recipe for the adventurous. It may be a unique kind of cookie, but they are actually delicious. Go ahead and try them for yourself!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (your choice) nuts,
- chips, dates or coconuts, etc..
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
- Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Sift dry ingredients, add alternately with milk.
- Add 1 cup grated cheese and 1 cup nuts (or your choice).
- Bake about 10 minutes at 350 degrees F.
- Blend ingredients for Cream Cheese Frosting. When cookies have cooled, ice with this frosting.
