Chocolate Macadamia Cookies with White Chocolate Chunks

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 6 ounces white chocolate bar cut in chunks or vanilla chips
- 3 1/2 ounces macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375 degrees F. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, sugar and butter; beat until light and fluffy.
- Add almond extract and egg; blend well.
- Add flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in white chocolate and nuts.
- Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2" apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8-12 min. or until set. Cool 1 min.; remove from cookie sheets.
