Christmas Cake Mix Cookies
What's better than cookies and cake? Make these Christmas Cake Mix Cookies and you'll have the best of both worlds. These cookies make for a wonderful dessert, especially during the holiday season. When you're pressed for time, recipes using cake mix like this one are a perfect quick fix, and they taste great too! This one uses white cake mix but you could also use chocolate if you're feeling adventurous and want to switch things up.
Notes
Variations: Add 1 cup of any, or a combination, of the following ingredients: chocolate chips, coconut, chopped nuts, candied fruit, white chocolate chips. Use different flavor cake mixes: yellow, orange, strawberry, chocolate spice.
Ingredients
- 1 box Duncan Hines white cake mix
- 1/2 cup cooking oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine all ingredients and drop by spoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 12 minutes. (Cookies will be pale on top, Do not overbake.)

I love to use the cherry chip cake mix. I think it makes a pretty cookie for Christmas & it is always such a hit with friends & family!

can someone tell me if these come out more on a cookie texture side or a cake texture side? I want to try them but curious to know if I'll end up with cake or cookies! They sound so good, thanks!

I was just thinkning this morning that I wish I still had this recipe! My mom used to make these and they really are SO good! I can't wait to make them again. Thanks so much for posting this. It was a Christmas gift to me! Pam

butter pecan cake mix and butterscotch chips, strawberry cake mix and white chips, spice cake mix and raisinsshredded carrot combo, choc cake mix and chopped dates....the variations are endless !!
