All American Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter; softened
- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 2/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Prehear oven to 375 degrees F.
- Beat the butter and sugars together in a mixing bowl until creamy.
- Break the eggs into the bowl and beat it into the mixture until smooth. Then add the vanilla extract and mix it in.
- Add the flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda to the mixture, a little at a time, and stir everything together well.
- Now add the chocolate chunks and stir them in until they are evenly spread through the cookie mixture.
- Grease your cookie sheets and drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto the sheet, spaced an inch and a half apart.
- Bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes until they are an even golden brown colour, then move them on to a wire rack to cool.
