    White Chocolate Cherry Cookies

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 3/4 cup vanilla sugar
    • 1 cup quick cooking rolled oats
    • 3/4 cup dried cherries
    • 1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional
    • 6 ounces white chocolate chips
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried lemon peel

    Instructions

    1. Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
    2. Layer with remaining ingredients in a 1 quart jar, tapping gently after each layer. 
    3. Beat 1/2 cup softened butter in a large mixing bowl for 30 seconds.
    4. Add in one egg and beat until well combined. Stir in jar contents.
    5. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden. Cool on a wire rack.

    These cookies sound delicious, as well as simple and easy! If you don't like cherries or have trouble finding them dried, I recommend using some craisins. Craisins pair very well with white chocolate! I'm curious how many cookies this makes since it only uses 1 cup of flour. Does anyone know the serving amount?
