    Byron's Turkey and Bean Chili

    A lot of people don't know that turkey is actually lower in fat than beef. Besides that, it's also super delicious! If you're wondering "what can I make with ground turkey?" then look no further. This turkey and bean chili is one of our best ground turkey meat recipes. You know it's good because it's made by Byron himself. Enjoy!

    Cooking MethodSlow Cooker

    Ingredients

    • 1-2 pounds ground turkey (or beef)
    • 3 cans pinto/red/black beans
    • 2-3 diced onions
    • Garlic
    • Chili powder
    • Cumin
    • Red pepper
    • Hot sauce

    Instructions

    1. Form meat into thin patties.
       
    2. Brown in skillet, seasoning to taste.
       
    3. Press patties between paper toweling to remove grease, then break into pieces.
       
    4. Place meat and beans (undrained) in Crockpot with additional spices. Add additional water (or optionally a can of beer) if necessary.
       
    5. Cook all day on low. Serve in bowls with sour cream and tortilla chips.
