Made this for dinner tonight and my very picky husband said it was good. I cut down on the salt, added some Mrs. Dash. I served it with rice. Will definitely make again.

Chef 3575689 If you want healthy, adapt the recipe to your liking. If you want excellent taste don't change a thing. THIS IS GOOD!

This looks like an interesting adaptation of a paprikash recipe and I like the addition of the ginger. It looks like a very hearty and delicious recipe. I'll have to try this, with extra butter, lard and some double heavy cream.I see nowhere that states this is a low fat, low sodium recipe nor is this billed as a "healthy, low fat, low sodium" website. I think some people would have better attitudes with a little more fat in their diets!

sorry, I don't see what is unhealthy about it. If you want low fat, use chicken breast and not the dark meat and most people salt to their own taste. There are lots of low sodium and low fat recipes to choose and I am sure the majority of us try to do the best we can. Other than that, the recipe was very tasty. I did cut down the salt because there are enough spices that I didn't feel that it needed as much as was called for.

Think it's up to each individual to 'adapt' a recipe for special 'healthy' needs. Fat free half & half or skim milk added to no fat cream cheese for the correct consistency! How 'bout Ms Dash for the sodium free fix?! Let's take the basic recipe with chicken and the vibrant flavors of fresh ginger, garlic & chili powder and run with it! It is MY responsibility for my own healthy recipes... This sounds delish!!

Some people follow a higher fat diet than others. This is perfect for someone following a regime like Atkins. Instead of critisizing this one, either look for one that is more to your liking, or make some "Low-fat" modifications and submit it for others who think and eat similar to you.
