Soybean Hummus
For an Asian-inspired version of hummus, try this hummus recipe that calls for soybeans instead of garbanzos. With the hints of soy sauce and parsley, this Asian style appetizer is fresh and delicous!
Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked soybeans, canned
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1/2 tablespoon ground coriander
- 1/2 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon parsley
Instructions
- Process all ingredients until smooth Chill before serving.
- Serve as a dip for raw vegetables, put a spoonful on halved tomatoes and sprinkle chopped chives over them. Use in sandwiches instead of margarine or butter. Use as a spread on toast.
