Chai Tea (east African Tea)

Ingredients

  • 6 cups water
  • 7 teaspoons loose tea leaves
  • 6 cups milk
  • 10-15 tsp. sugar

Instructions

Heat together water and tea leaves in a 3 to 4 quart saucepan. Boil 10 minutes. Add milk and heat to near boiling. Strain leaves. Add sugar to taste. Makes 6-8 servings.

If you dont know how to make chai tea then this is th best way right here. my mother says that you need to boil your tea after adding the milk for atleast five minutes. If you have some cardamoms grinds the seeds from the 5-6 pods and add them into the boiling tea. serve with mandazi or biscuits.
