Monkey Gland Steak
Ingredients
- cube steaks (1 per serving)
- oil for frying
- 1 large onion diced
- 2 large tomatoes diced
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
- 3/4 to 1 cup chutney
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
(makes 8 servings). In a heavy skillet, heat oil. Saute onions and garlic until soft. Add remaining ingredients, mix well and simmer for a few minutes. Fry the steaks separately. When done frying spoon the sauce over the steaks. Serve with rice.
