Roasted Garlic in a Clay Garlic Roaster

Ingredients

  • Garlic cloves
  • Olive oil

Instructions

Remove the loose outer leaves. Cut off the top of the bulb.Pierce the top of each clove to release steam as it bakes. Put 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil over each bulb and dot with butter. You may also sprinkle each bulb with thyme, oregano, salt, or pepper to taste. Set the bulbs in the bottom of the Garlic Baker and cover with the domed lid. Place in cold oven. Set the temperature at 300 for 1 hour. Then remove the domed cover and bake for 20 minutes more, or until the garlic is soft and the outside leaves are golden brown Baste occasionally with olive oil.
