Stuffed Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. bacon
  • 30 large mushrooms
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • salt, pepper and hot pepper sauce to taste
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 (8 oz.)pkg. cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • seasoned bread crumbs
  • Parmesan cheese

Instructions

Fry bacon and remove from pan. Drain bacon grease from pan. Remove mushroom stems and chop. In same skillet, melt butter. Add bacon, green pepper, onion, garlic and mushroom stems. Saute 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Add cream cheese and mayonnaise. Stir over low heat until cheese is melted. Add salt, pepper and hot pepper sauce. Stuff mushrooms with cheese mixture. Top each with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. Bake at 350 for 10 to 20 minutes.
