Vietnamese Ginger Chicken (ga Kho)
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tablespoon oil
- 2-inch piece fresh ginger, julienned
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 pound boneless chicken, sliced
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon thick soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 onion, cubed
- salt, to taste
Instructions
Heat oil and fry ginger, garlic and shallot until brown. Add chicken and stir-fry for 1 minute, then add all ingredients. Cook for 8 minutes, stirring often until sauce thickens.
