Strawberry Pretzel Jell-O Surprise
People can't get enough of this tasty pretzel jello recipe, it's so easy and completely irresistible. To make your next party a big hit or see get a big smile on your kids face make up this Strawberry Pretzel Jell-O Surprise.

Ingredients
- 1 (8.5-ounce) package Keebler butternut pretzels, crushed (about 2 cups)
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 8 ounces Cool Whip
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 (6-ounce) package strawberry Jell-O
- 1 (20-ounce) package frozen strawberries (if whole, slice in halves)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Mix crushed pretzels, 3 tablespoons sugar and margarine.
- Press mixture in Pyrex Baking Dish, 13" x 9" x 2" or 12" x 8" x 2".
- Bake for 10 minutes; cool.
- Beat 1 cup sugar, cream cheese and Cool Whip; add to cooled pretzel layer.
- Mix boiling water with Jell-O; add strawberries. Let stand 10 minutes; add to casserole.
- Chill 1 hour. Store in refrigerator.

This recipe sounds good! I like the pretzel base and am keen to try that. I would use plain salted pretzels as I think the sweet with the salty would taste nice. I'm also liking the cream cheese layer in there! I think it will most definitely be a big hit with the kids.

I've had this before at a luncheon, it was a nice light dessert. Haven't thought about it in ages until I saw this, now I think I will make it to take to Labor Day family cookout.
