Ingredients
- 1 pound Jacob's Cattle Beans
- 1 pound lean salt pork
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- 1/3 cup honey
- 12 ounce beer
Instructions
- Cover beans with water and soak overnight, drain.
- Add salt pork to beans and cover with enough water to boil.
- Boil beans till skin splits.
- Drain, remove salt pork and cut into 2-inch cubes and score them.
- Mix all the other ingredients together and add to beans.
- Place in slow cooker and add enough water to cover beans.
- Add the salt pork; cover and cook on low temperature for 8 hours.
