Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • 2 pound round steak
  • 3 small onions
  • 2 Tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 can beef consomme
  • 2 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (4 oz) sliced mushrooms
  • soy sauce to taste
  • salt, pepper, flour to thicken

Instructions

Slice beef into thin strips, about 3 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. Fry diced onions until yellow in small amount of vegetable oil. Add meat and brown. Add tomato paste and consomme. Add soy sauce to taste. Simmer until tender. Thicken with flour and water. Season with salt and pepper. Add mushrooms. Add sour cream and warm through just before serving. Serves 6
