Flank Steak with Herb Marinade

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil, crumbled
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary, crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 green onions, including some tender green tops, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 1/2 pound flank steak

Instructions

To make marinade, in a small bowl or cup, stir together all ingredients. Place steak in shallow dish and pour marinade over the top. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator 2 to 3 hours. Remove 30 minutes before cooking. Preheat broiler. Remove meat from marinade. Place on an oiled broiler pan and broil, turning once, 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Do not overcook. Thinly slice on the diagonal and arrange on a warmed platter. Serve immediately. Serves 6.
