Keftethes Meat Balls
Ingredients
- 500 gr. minced pork or beef or mixed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2-3 tablespoons of chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon dry mint or 1 tablespoon fresh
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons grated onion
- 1 level teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon cheese
- 4-5 potatoes, grated and drained
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions
Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together. Allow the mixture to stand for half an hour. Shape into small meatballs and deep fry them in oil. Serve with macaroni, pilaf or chips and green salad.
