Amish Overnight Breakfast Waffles

- 1 package dry active yeast
- 2 cup whole milk, warmed slightly
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 cup all purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions

In a large bowl, place the warm water and sprinkle the water with the yeast and sugar. Whisk until dissolved.

Add in the salt, flour, melted butter, and milk. Whisk until smooth.

Next, whisk in the eggs and cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator overnight.

The next morning, preheat your waffle iron. Just before cooking, whisk in the 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. Cook the waffles according to the directions that come with your waffle iron.
