Brunch Egg Casserole

Ingredients

  • 8 eggs
  • 4 cups milk
  • 10 slices of bread, buttered and cubed
  • 1/2 pound cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 2 Tbsp curry powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Serves 8. Lightly whisk the eggs and milk together. In an ungreased casserole dish alternate layers of cheese and bread cubes. (begining with buttered bread cubes on the bottom) Stir seasonings into the egg mixture. Pour egg mixture over top, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 24 hours. Remove from fridge 1/2 hour before cooking so that it is closer to room temperature. Heat oven to 350 F Bake, uncovered for 40 mins. Serve immediately.
