Ingredients
- 1 box cake mix, white or yellow
- 1 stick butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 package cream cheese
- 3 eggs
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 can cherry pie filling (optional)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Mix cake mix, butter, and beaten egg together and pour into a 9 X 13-inch greased baking pan.

Beat cream cheese, remaining eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla and pour over cake mix batter.
