Easy Sponge Cake
Ingredients
- 8oz butter
- 8oz brown sugar
- 8oz self-rising flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 large eggs
Instructions
Cream together butter and sugar Add sieved flour and baking powder Add eggs and give mixture a quick beat Pour into a greased 8 inch square cake tin and bake in oven 170C for 65 minutes. Turn out onto wire tray. A perfect sponge.
