If you like cake recipes that start out using a cake mix, this might be the recipe for you. I would probably make my own sour cream chocolate cake, but use this recipe for the frosting. The frosting recipe looks great! But, the other poster is right. A sheet cake implies a large rectangular cake made in a sheet pan or jelly roll pan.

Normally, I'm not a fan of chocolate cake, but I do like German Chocolate cake. I love the coconut and pecans. My family doesn't want coconut or pecans in desserts, so I would have to make this to take somewhere. I though a sheet cake was a larger flatter cake but this recipe is in a 13 x 9 pan
