- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 cup of milk
