A capital T is usually Tablespoon and a small t is usually a teaspoon - but not sure if it's the same here. BUT 1 baking powder, 1 vanilla & 3/4 salt? WHAT? I am kind of assuming it is teaspoons.

T is the abbreviation for tablespoon (it's bigger) and t for teaspoon (it's smaller). All of my mom's recipes are all written this way. :-) and dmg, I've never heard of a 7x7 pan either. I'm sure 8x8 would be fine.
