Pineapple Coconut Better Than Sex Cake

Pineapple Coconut Better Than Sex Cake is our own creation of a classic dessert with a memorable name. While you're sure to have your own opinion about the caliber of deliciousness of this easy cake mix recipe, it sure has earned a place in our recipe hall of fame. Made with a yellow cake mix base and tropical elements, like coconut flakes and chunks of pineapple, this easy cake recipe is then topped with a layer of pudding mix and whipped cream and sprinkled with chocolate shavings and pecans. Did you die and go to heaven? Yes, yes you did. We are certain that no matter where you serve this cake, and regardless the occasion, there won't be any leftovers to take home. It's just that good.
Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 can pineapple chunks in syrup
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 large box instant vanilla pudding mix
- 8 ounce Cool Whip
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 2 Hershey's chocolate bars, shaved into bits
- 3 cup milk

Prepare cake according to directions on box, and bake.

In a saucepan, mix the sugar and pineapple and bring it to a boil. Remove from heat and cool. While the cake is still warm, punch holes in it with a large fork.

Pour pineapple mixture over top and sprinkle with coconut. Put in refrigerator to cool.

Prepare the pudding according to the directions, using 3 cups of milk. Pour pudding over the cake and let set.

Put Cool Whip over top of cake and sprinkle with chopped pecans, and Hershey bar shavings.

Cake is better if made a day in advance and refrigerated. At any rate, place it in the fridge until ready to serve (at least 1-2 hours).
