Quick Easy Caramel Cake
What do you do if a dessert craving strikes but you don't want to spend a lot of time baking? Make this Quick Easy Caramel Cake! It takes a basic butter cake mix and turns it into something amazing. With just a few basic ingredients, this simple cake recipe couldn't be quicker. Simply bake the cake, boil the caramel sauce ingredients, and pour over the cooled cake. When it's done, you'll have a deliciously moist cake covered with gooey caramel sauce.

Ingredients
- 2 butter cake mixes, plus ingredients on package
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 stick butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Bake the two cakes according to package instructions.

Meanwhile, combine sugars, butter, milk, and vanilla and bring to a boil. Once it reaches a hard boil, time for 3 minutes.

Remove from heat and allow to cool, stirring occasionally to prevent graining. (If your cakes are cool, you may use an electric mixer to speed this up).
- When cakes are done, layer them on top of each other. When icing is cool enough to be fairly stiff, ice cake.
