Real Orange Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 c margarine
  • 1 3/4 c sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 ts orange extract
  • 3 c flour
  • 1/4 ts baking soda
  • 2 ts baking powder
  • 1 ts orange rind (finely grated)
  • 1 1/4 c orange juice and pulp, approximately 4 oranges

Instructions

Yield: 6 servings. Cream margarine and sugar until light and creamy. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each. Sift flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and orange rind. Mix dry ingredients with creamed mix, alternately, with orange juice, pulp and orange extract. Pour into prepared pans and bake at 350 until cake tests done.
