Ingredients
- 1 lemon + 4 tablespoons lemon juice
- 12 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 1/3 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/3 cup vanilla yogurt

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

Butter an 8-inch cake pan and line the bottom with a round piece of parchment paper.

Cream together the butter and ¾ cup sugar. Grate the zest and squeeze the juice from the lemon into the bowl and beat until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time.

Add in the flours and baking powder. Mix until combined.

Add in the yogurt. Mix until combined.

Pour into pan and bake for 30 minutes. The center will spring back when pressed.

Meanwhile, stir the remaining ½ cup sugar and 4 tablespoons of lemon juice in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until sugar dissolves. Remove from stove and allow to cool.

Transfer the cake to a wire rack. Pierce the cake all over with a skewer and drizzle the syrup on top.

Cool for 30 minutes. Remove from the pan and cool completely.
