The Best Pudding Cake
Cake recipes are great for any occasion. This wonderful recipe is made with both cake mix and pudding mix to give it a rich and moist flavor. Covered with a sugary glaze, indulge yourself in a slice or two.
Ingredients
- 1 package yellow cake mix
- 1 package of instant lemon pudding mix
- 1 can (16-ounces) fruit cocktail in heavy syrup
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- For the Glaze:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- extract or flavoring if desired
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
- Blend all cake ingredients except for brown sugar and nuts and beat 4 minutes with electric mixer at med. speed.
- Pour into a well greased 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle with the brown sugar and nuts.
- Bake in a 325 oven about 45 minutes or tested done. Cool 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile make glaze by combining glaze ingredients and boiling for 2 minutes. Pour over warm cake.

Does ANYONE read these recipes before there are printed ? The fruit cocktail is not mentioned in the preparation. When does it go in? PLEASE print a correction !
