    Vanilla Butternut Pound Cake

    Ingredients

    • 2 sticks butter
    • 1/2 cup shortening
    • 3 cups sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 5 eggs
    • 3 cups flour
    • 1 cup evaporated milk
    • 10 ounces jar or maraschino cherries cut in half
    • 1 cup walnuts chopped
    • 2 tablespoons vanilla butternut flavoring

    Instructions

    Cream together butter, shortening, sugar and salt until light and fluffy. Add eggs 1 at a time beating after each addition. Add the flour and milk alternating with the flour first and last. Stir in the flavoring, cherries and nuts. Put in a greased and floured bundt pan. Start in a COLD oven. Bake for 1 hour and 45 min at 350 F.
