    Whole Nut Fruitcake

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb. shelled brazil nuts
    • 1 lb. shelled whole walnuts
    • 2 lbs. whole dates, pitted
    • 8 oz.s each red and green candied cherries
    • 1 1/2 cup flour
    • 1 t. baking powder
    • 1 1/2 cup sugar
    • 4 large or 5 small eggs, lightly beaten

    Instructions

    Mix eggs with dry ingredients, add in fruit and nuts. Mix well (I use my hands). Pour into tins lined with parchment paper. Bake in a 250 to 275=B0F oven for 2 hours. Bake with a pan of water in the oven. Note: I got this recipe from my grandmother, that accounts for the variables.
