Whole Nut Fruitcake
Ingredients
- 1 lb. shelled brazil nuts
- 1 lb. shelled whole walnuts
- 2 lbs. whole dates, pitted
- 8 oz. each red and green candied cherries
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 t. baking powder
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 large or 5 small eggs, lightly beaten
Instructions
Mix eggs with dry ingredients, add in fruit and nuts. Mix well (I use my hands). Pour into tins lined with parchment paper. Bake in a 250 to 275=B0F oven for 2 hours. Bake with a pan of water in the oven. Note: I got this recipe from my grandmother, that accounts for the variables.
