Chocolate Caramel Peanut Candy Bars
Ingredients
- 60 gram corn syrup
- 30 milliliter butter
- 15 milliliter vanilla essence
- 40 gram peanut butter
- dash salt
- 3 cup icing sugar
- 35 caramels
- 450 gram unsalted peanuts
- 12 ounce milk-chocolate chips
Instructions
Thoroughly blend the corn syrup, butter, vanilla, peanut butter, and salt until creamy. Add icing sugar. Remove mixture from bowl press into a greased 23cm x 23cm inch pan. Refrigerate. Melt the caramels in a small pan over low heat. When melted, mix in the peanuts. Pour mixture over the peanut butter mixture in the pan. Refrigerate. Microwave chocolate for 2 minutes or until melted, stirring once while melting. Cut peanut butter mixture into 5cm x 2.5cm bars. Spear each piece with a fork and dip into the melted chocolate. Tap the fork against the side of the bowl after dipping. Place the bars on waxed paper to cool. Makes about 2 dozen.
