Chocolate Covered Candied Cherries
Make these delectable chocolate cherries for a gift or a special treat! Chocolate Covered Candied Cherries are made by covering cherries with a sweet candy dough and then dipping them in chocolate for gourmet chocolate covered cherries!
Notes
Keep refrigerated until the day candy is to be eaten or the chocolate will dull and the center will begin to crystallize.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 12 ounces chocolate chips
- 3 jars maraschino cherries with stems
- 1/3 bar paraffin wax
Instructions
- Combine sugar, butter, cherry juice and lemon juice for dough. Chill 1-2 hours.
- Drain maraschino cherries and chill thoroughly.
- Make balls of dough the size of a cherry; flatten and wrap around cherry, sealing edges. Freeze 1/2 hour or more.
- In a double boiler, melt chocolate chips together with wax.
- Reduce heat and dip frozen, dough-coated cherries. Dry on waxed paper. Place into bonbon papers.

It states in the directions to add cherry juice to the powdered sugar mixture but it doesn't give an amount in the ingredients list. Please let me know how much to use.
