This sweet and slightly salty homemade candy recipe is the most delectable holiday confection you'll ever taste. Made with super easy ingredients like brown sugar, butter, crackers and chocolate, this recipe comes together in as little as 10 minutes. Is that a Christmas miracle or what?
Notes
- Use the type of chocolate you prefer, milk or dark. We used a mix of the two for double the chocolatey flavor.
- The top can be garnished with crushed peppermint candy for a holiday twist, or use toffee bits, finely chopped nuts or chocolate sprinkles as desired.

Ingredients
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
- 1 sleeve of Club crackers
- 12 ounces chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a jelly-roll pan (10 x 15 x 1 inch) with foil or parchment paper.

In a 2-quart saucepan over medium high heat, melt the sugar and butter and bring it to a boil. Allow to gently boil for 3 minutes without stirring, but keep an eye on it so it does not boil over.

Lay crackers in an even layer on the baking sheet. Pour the butter/sugar mixture over the crackers and spread evenly. Bake for 10 minutes.

Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the toffee mixture and spread evenly with a spatula or butter knife.

Freeze for one hour. Carefully peel aluminum foil off the back and break the crack into pieces. Store in a tightly lidded container in the refrigerator.
