Microwave Coconut Barfi

Ingredients

  • 200 gms sugar
  • 250 gms dessicated coconut
  • 1 tsp green cardamom powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • Colouring optional

Instructions

Heat ghee on HIGH for 30 seconds. Add dessicated coconut. Set on HIGH for 1 minute 30 seconds. Add milk. Set on HIGH for 5 minutes. Add sugar and cardamom powder. Microwave on HIGH for 15 to 20 minutes or till milk evaporates, stirring in between. When dry, add food colouring with 1 tbsp milk. Then spread on thali, cut into pieces.
