Smooth As Silk Fudge
The best kind of fudge is the kind that's as smooth as silk when you bite into it. That's exactly the case with Smooth As Silk Fudge. It's a simple fudge recipe that produces delicious chocolate fudge that's smooth, rich, and absolutely delicious. This fudge is great as a Christmas dessert or no-bake treat any time of year! Simply heat the ingredients over a double broiler, pour into a pan, and let cool. It's super easy and even more delicious.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 ounce unsweetened chocolate
- 1 pound (4 cups) confectioner's sugar
- 1/3 cup dry milk
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or use your favorite extract)
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Butter an 8x8-inch square pan and set aside.
- In a double boiler over boiling water, melt together butter and chocolate while stirring constantly, then stir in corn syrup, water and vanilla.
- Sift together powdered sugar and powdered milk. Blend in dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture, 1/2 at a time until smooth and well blended.
- Remove from heat. Add nuts if you're using them and pour into pan. Let cool completely and cut into squares.
