Canning Hot Peppers
Ingredients
- For quart jars:
- banana peppers
- salt
- olive oil
- garlic, optional
- 3 quart water
- 1 qt. white vinegar
Instructions
In each jar put 1 teaspoon salt and 2 tablespoons olive oil. Bring to water and vinegar to a boil. Place peppers, salt, and oil in jars. Pour hot brine to the top of jar. Seal jars. Water bath for about 5 min. Also you can put a clove or two of garlic in each jar if you wish. Yields about 10 qts.
