Cornmeal Porridge

Ingredients

  • Boil 1 pint of water in a pot with a pinch of salt, then add some
  • bay leaf and whole cloves. Mix another 1 pint of water with 1/2
  • cup of yellow cornmeal until a smooth mixture is achieved. Pour
  • the smooth mixture into pot while stirring. After three minutes
  • lower the fire and stir occasionally, adding a few drops of Vanilla
  • for taste. Cover pot and leave for 10 - 15 minutes. Serve hot.
