Cuban Picadillo
Ingredients
- 2 pounds lean ground meat browned and drained of grease
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 1/2 cup thinly sliced onions
- 1 chopped garlic clove
- 1 1/2 cup sliced yellow and red bell pepper
- 1 cup chopped carrot
- 1/4 cup golden raisins
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 14 1/2 ounces can of no salt added stewed tomatoes
- 8 ounces can of no salt added tomato sauce
- 2 bay leaves
Instructions
Saute onions and garlic in oil til soft medium heat, add carrots and peppers. Add beef and other ingredients. Simmer until all flavors have blended.
