Broccoli Crab Casserole

Ingredients
- 8 spears broccoli, cooked
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 10 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup onion, minced
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons sherry
- 12 ounces imitation crabmeat, thawed, flaked
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Arrange broccoli in a greased shallow casserole dish. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
- Saute onion in 6 tablespoons of the butter until soft.
- Stir in flour, curry, and salt. Cook about 1 minute.
- Add milk gradually. Cook over low heat until thick, stirring constantly.
- Blend in lemon juice and sherry. Add crabmeat.
- Pour mixture over the broccoli.
- Melt the remaining 4 tablespoons of butter and combine with the breadcrumbs.
- Sprinkle over the casserole and bake for 30 minutes.
